I took this image of a line of cormorants early one morning in the fog. Although they weren't distinct, for some reason the line of them appealed to me (and not a single good HA in the bunch:eek:) I cropped for a pano - I actually cropped out groups on either side - and used Nik>Color Efex> Midnight blended with Soft Light. I'm sure it's not everyone's cup of tea but I kind of liked it:S3:
Comments and suggestions appreciated.

Cheryl, this is nice. I like the two rows of cormorants in fog. The pano crop works well here. I may try to straighten the line of cormorants, if it were mine. Nicely done.

I like this, Cheryl. The fog gives it a lot of atmosphere, and I like the lines of cormorants. I agree with Indranil on straightening the line.

Cheryl, I like this. It's something different. These are the types of images I look for in the field. I love the placement of the back Cormorant that fits in between the gap in the first row. I would be interested in seeing it straighter? :S3:

Thanks everyone. I started out with this image and thought it needed straightening so I rotated and came up with the OP. I don't know if this is better or not. Each line isn't straight individually and together they're not quite on the same plane either. Let me know if this is better (or maybe I need to sit up straighter in my chair:S3:)

Cheryl,
I like the re-post the best. I love the overall softness, muted colors and the many varied head positions. Beautifully done.

I like the fog and the positions of the cormorants. The pano crop works well. The re-post looks straight to me.

I love the birds in the fog and like the angled ORIG post best.
