I wanted to give Flaming Pear filters a try and this is what I did - I started out with Aetherize and saved a copy. Then I used Twist followed by a Nik Contrast Color Range, Topaz Clean and I liked it but it was too subtle so I used Fractalius, layered the original Aetherize copy over it, and finally another Twist layer and Distort>Glass to get the effect I wanted. I liked the final colors and effect.
Thanks for looking. Comments and suggestions appreciated:S3:

Hi Cheryl, love the effects you created with the filtering, nicely done! I wonder if the greenish area on the egret on the left side should be whitened-up a bit? :S3:

Very cool, unique combo of effects, Cheryl. The final result is wonderful! Like the way you kept some detail in the eye and head. :S3:

Cheryl,
This looks like a closeup of a piece of textured stained glass. Beautifully done. :S3:

Beautiful work, Cheryl! Love the swirled Van Gogh-ish effect. Lovely colors too. I might remove a little of the textured effect from the top of the bird's head, just enough so that's a little more sharply defined from the BG. Well done.

Quite interesting and though I do not know much about traditional "art" there seems to be a bit of Van Gogh in there :)
