A life tick for me, as these beautiful birds came out to play on a recent trip to Corkscrew Swamp, FLA.
Canon 1D mk3, 600mm f4 +1.4x tele [840mm], ISO 800, 1/80sec @ f5.6, tripod, dist to subj 7metres, no flash, -0.3EV, some BKGR NR.
There were plenty of shots on the feeders, but i waited for the bird to perch and this together with f5.6 and an uncluttered background, gave me a cleaner shot.
