As the sun was rising, there wasn't a lot of light to photograph eagles in flight, so I waited until one flew towards the sun.

Nice one! I like it that the eagle is not only silhouet. The colours are nice to. I think i would have cropped it a bit
Lovely morning colors, and I like the inclusion of the landscape - more an 'Alaska' image than just a 'bird' image, to my way of thinking. I wonder if the eagle could be lightened up a bit?
Hey Matt,
I think this turned out nicely! I would take some off the bottom to more of a pano.....givning the dark area a bit less weight.....but overall, I like the placement in the frame and the colors!
Matt, excellent comp. and colors. loved the treeline...it adds a lot in this image.
Nice feel to this image. I like it as is!

This is a most intriguing capture. My gut is telling me that it needs a crop somewhere. If it were mine, I would probably give it a few different crops before settling...which is probably exactly what you did. Congrats on accomplishing your vision!
Great capture. I agree with taking a bit off the bottom. Also, does anyone else think there's a bit too much space to the left of the bird? I love the colours - beautiful shades.
I would not crop it at all. Perfect as-is in my opinion. You don't want to loose that treeline, and you want to keep the bird to the right with lots of space to give it breathing room. Very nice image.
