This is a quick example of "scratch art". I wondered what an artist might do with a scratch board if they were familiar with Fractalius. Original image is a sleepy bobcat that I had the good fortune to capture in the wild.
Scratch art starts with a board coated with white clay. This is then sprayed with black ink. The artist scratches away the ink to reveal the white clay beneath and this is the look that results. I remember doing this as a child and we used a black crayon to cover a white sheet of paper. :c3:

Very nice Kerry, I love the closed eyes and the detail in the face area. This should be an interesting week of images.:S3:

This is very nice, Kerry. The closed eye bobcat looks great! I like the sketched effect from fract. I am wondering if opening up a bit more of the mouth and chin make it even stronger. TFS.

I love your bobcat! Now if I can figure out how to do that...

Very nice, Kerry! I love the relaxed expression of the bobcat, and the frac effect looks great for the scratch art look. Well done. :S3:

Purrrfect! Great subject and scratch/frac combo. The black BG really adds to this style. :S3:

Nice use of the frac plug in....I agree that opening up the chin and mouth might make it an even stronger image!

An endearing portrait, the "fur" is enhanced by the plug in. I wonder what a color version of this would look like.
