We seem to have had more Immature Bearded Vultures around than adults. Still a magnificent bird with a lovely scaled feather pattern.

C&C allways welcome.

Cool-looking bird with a great pose and excellent sharpness. You did a nice job with PS. I like the eye contact and the BG with the stripes running through it.

The dorsal view and it looking back at you are fantastic. And so is the background. It looks a tad oversharpened though to me. And I can see a halo, especially around the outer wing feathers. JR

Beautiful image of an imposing bird! BG is sweet. Definitely a halo around both wings, more pronounced around the top wing. Great editing job on the wingtips - imperceptible.
Never seen one of these birds - they actually do have a beard, don't they!

Hi Pieter, your best of this series IMHO. Cool banking angle, with a good dorsal view. Overall, good sharpness throughout. Separated from the BG nicely, together with the lovely colours from a GC BG.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments appreciate the feedback.
Stuart appreciate your comments just wish I had'nt clipped those primaries but as Artie mentioned in another thread, when something exciting comes along one tends to get excited.
John and Joerg I can see a faint halo now that you have pointed it out and have wondered at the cause. I have magnified the image and it appears that the mask I used for BG noise reduction was not tight enough and has left that strip . Will work on it tonight to see if I can eliminate it. If any one has other ideas about halos I would love to hear them.
