The pose and sharpness are excellent. Way cool perch. Normally I'm not a big fan of birds behind the perch, but the perch has so much character in this photo that I don't mind at all. I'd crop a little off the top of the frame.
Simple but very beautiful. Agree with Doug re cropping from the top. JR
Beautiful bird, excellent detail and color. I don't mind the bird being behind the perch either, as it gives the viewer a clear view of the feet. I agree about removing space at the top. Also, I wonder if a horizontal crop might work here?
