Just for the fun of it. Not an artsy image, but thought you might enjoy! :S3:
This image was taken earlier this year on a visit to Lion Country Safari. On this day, the owners of LCS were doing major construction work (rehabilitating) one of the Chimp islands and had end loaders, backhoes, dump trucks and other equipment working on the island. This chimp was on top of a tall pole, watching the workers on his island. It reminded me of my past life in municipal engineering, as each project we did tended to have a similar sidewalk superintendent show up during construction. Guess we are more like the chimps than we wish to believe, sometimes!!! :e3
Modification in CS4 and DAP included DAP Realism and normal PS image adjustments.
Enjoy!

Hi Mark, good to see you here. I always wanted a job like this, but never had one... :c3:
I like your colors and composition. It looks like you got some glow around the main subjects, probably from the shadow/highlight adjustment. Would love to see the black level on the chimp bumped up to see some detail on it.
Did you get a model release? :w3

Mark, Nice to see you posting again. I agree w/ Kerry's comments and feel that more details in the chimp would be good. I like the way he is sitting on top of the post!:S3:

Thanks Kerry & Denise for viewing and comments.
It was just a shot that I took that I thought some might enjoy! :S3: The humanistic nature of the Chimp got me!
It is a large crop image, so the detail is what it is. I worked that trying to improve it, but it didn't come through any better.
I am in and out right now. One prospect fell through, but we're waiting on another one, so I don't know what our schedule will be the next few weeks. I will try to get back occasionally, but until life settles down a little, it will be on and off. :e3 Worst is that I don't have to time to critique others that I would like to. But we'll see you again soon.

Very enjoyable image, Mark! A perfect supervisor... Hope the tranquility of the pose and subject transfers somehow to your busy schedule. :S3:
