Here is one taken as low as I could get in order to be at eye level of the subject.
The movement of the water made it a little difficult to focus at times as the bird would occasionally disappear behind a mini wave.

Austin, you know I like these shots. Terrific details, composition, bird and head angle. Exposure looks perfect. Loved that eye. DOF surprisingly very good for f/5.6. Liked everything except the water color...but nothing you cud have done.

Outstanding shot, Austin....and what a beautiful bird. Talk about some eyes. Water color is what I'm used to as I shoot most of my ducks on the Mississippi River. Wonderful catch.

Wave in front works for me!.....really adds to the image! Looks a bit bright on my monitor given the specs.....but I am on the laptop and it has been a long day.....so given that.....works very nicely overall!
