I photographed this old, dried-up flower head in our herb garden. I used only two textures from Shadowhouse Creations on this, "Softly Aged Sepia" and "RVT-Tan," because I wanted it to have a simple, rather minimalist look. I also used selective color to help get the sepia tone and applied a slight blur overlay. Your comments and suggestions would be most appreciated.

Very nice Christopher, I like the textures and the darkened corners too. The sepia tone compliments the textures as well. Nice work!

Christopher,
Greetings. The sepia tones and the composition work well. I like the texture as well. Perhaps, a bit more focus (or less blur) on the middle to upper left bits would work for me.
Cheers,

Another masterpiece from Master Texturizer! I too like the Sepia tones. Vignetting does help on the focus. I am with Michael on bit more focus on the upper left of the flower. TFS.

Christopher,
I like the "old photo" look and the textures work well with the subject. I agree with the increased sharpness in the upper left part of the flower. Nicely done.

Thanks very much for the input, Andrew, Michael, Indranil, and Richard.
I removed some of the blur from the top left part of the flower as suggested, and I think it does make it look better. Thanks! :S3:

Christopher, this looks like a wild onion or garlic flower - very cool! Agree with all the comments regarding the sepia look you got and the simple textures. I think you could add canvas at the bottom to make this one have more of a vertical pano look. Just a thought though, I like it as presented. :c3:

Very nice aged look and sepia tone, Christopher. Like the detail, simplicity and darkened corners. Reopost looks good, but am interested in seeing what a vertical pano would look like as Kerry suggested.

Thanks for commenting, Brendan. Here is the vertical pano version. Not sure if I like it more or less than the original. It definitely gives the image a different feel though.
