First time in this forum.
I took this image yesterday afternoon - it was getting dark and I have no flash set up as yet. I thought the image was no good as a photograph as such - the iso was 3200 and the image too noisy for my liking even after noise reduction so I tried something different and painted it in photoshop.

Hi Tom and welcome to OOTB! Nice composition and eye contact on your swallow. I would suggest adding some saturation to the bird and perch to make it stand out a bit more from the background. Can you share with us what technique you used to paint the bird? I like the style, but would like to see a bit more color and contrast. Hope to see more of your work!

Tom, Welcome to OOTB! Nice first post. Kerry makes some good suggestions. I wish the bird's head were turned just a little less towards us. Nice painterly look and I am looking forward to seeing more of your work.:S3:
Hi Kerry - I added some saturation as well as vibrance, also added a little black to the blacks and grays. Sorry cannot remember the details of this one. Will make a point of recording this in the future.Quote:

Thanks for the comments Denise and Chris. Head angle could have been better. With that angle it looks a little like this bird is one eyed.
