This started out with just the egret's eye, using multiple flips, polar coordinates, color adjustments, some experimentation with various filters and then went from there. The intent was to show a protected environment surrounded by a harsher world, with the egret peering out.

Hi Maureen, this is very different and interesting. It looks like blown glass art to me. If it were mine I would probably paint out the seam in the center. I like your different approaches to the re-create theme.
