I've felt for a long time that we only see the surface of things and that behind that surface there is something more wondrous and even more beautiful... something beyond words. That energy, intelligence or whatever one chooses to call it, is what I attempted to portray in my re-create.
The image is a blend of Fractalius, DAP and the original image.
I like the Frac effect on the bird. it blends well with BG. Nice work.

Richard, nice fract effect for this recreate. The egret really stands out against the dark blue background. Nice work!

Richard, just the right amount of fract and DAP, both subtle and bold statement simultaneously! Think this might look really great enlarged too. Well done!

I agree, just enough fract Richard! A nice combo of filters!

Nice frac work, Richard! I like it as is but I'd be interested to see how it would look with some the frac lines lessened or removed from just under the head.

Richard, It does have it's own energy! I love the fract work and combining it w/ a subtle amount of DAP is a nice touch!:S3:

Hi Richard, nice combination of inner and outer glow. I think it works really well. I agree with Ken's comment about the area under the head and I would also suggest painting out the vertical lines in the green lores area. Love the glow...

Thanks everyone for your kind words and comments. I made a re-post with Ken and Kerry's suggestions. I just softened the frac lines in the neck area... not sure if that is enough but I'm sure you'll let me know. :)
