The original was just a so-so shot of laundry hanging on a clothes line outside an apartment in Venice. I think the fractalius filter made it a much more interesting photo. I applied the filter with some adjustments then painted out some of the effect using a layer mask as I felt the original application was a bit "heavy handed". Thanks to Denise for the tip.:S3:

Joe, Love the way the frac texture changed orientation from shape to shape in your image. Wonderful job of processing and masking the effect! :S3:

Hi Joe, nice job of controlling the fract effect. As you know - "a little goes a long way". Interesting composition with the colors, patterns, and textures. Good job!

Beautiful PP !
Suits well for this scene. Never seen it been applied before for windows/building etc.
The filter has brought out some nice lines and designs in the hanging clothes and the window curtains.
Might crop a bit off the left (i.e. removing the window portion in the edge).

Very nice treatment of image, just the right amount of filter. Transformed it into a pleasing composition with watercolor feel.

Joe, Great use of the filter. It adds a bit of punch to a regular scene, very cool! I might clean up the left edge if it were mine. Fantastic work!:S3:

Joe, This really came out nicely. I like all the different lines that frac created in the different fabrics. Well done:S3:

That's a really neat effect.
I love the colors, too - very Venice.

When using frac I have found that I usually like one thing "unfracted" in the image. This is an exception, I like the effect to the entire image, very well done in my opinion!
