Nick, this is beautiful. I really like the framing here. Great use of filters. TFS.
Nice work Nick! this really has a 3D look to it!
Nice, You did a great job with this. The filter combo and the base image go well together. I might blend the glow area in front of the neck a little if it were mine. Very well done!:S3:
Hey Nick, I really like the embossed look, shading and soft glow. Cool frame. :c3:
Very nice re-create Nick, I too like the framing and also the texture background.
Beautiful re-create, Nick! Love the glow and 3d look on the egret, and the antique-like frame is very nice. Great work.
Thanks gang, The "frame" is actually a combination of "Color Efex's" solarization which was done early in the process and "Color Efex's" Polaroid transfer done at the end of the process. I am a huge fan of reproducing older photographic techniques and NIK software has made this very very simple. :bg3: Solarization was a techniques darkroom photographers would use to create different effects on their images. About halfway through the process of developing (while in the developing solution) they would turn on the light for a few seconds, this would reverse some of the blacks to white and whites to black.
