Emergence

This is the one-armed cattle egret I posted months ago. I thought the effect was interesting although maybe not your usual mini-world. Kind of a half-mini world:S3: I added Nik graduated filter because the background had been completely white.

Really cool treatment Cheryl, and a nice image to kick off the theme. Good use of the technique to produce a different type of image. I like it a lot and the graduated color filter made some sweet colors!

Artie, Sorry, should have posted it before... from above steps (should have said I simply flipped the canvas)...

Alternatively, one could just rotate the canvas 180 degrees, or if you wanted to see it mirrored, flip one direction (say horizontal) then rotate 90 degrees to put the eye in the upper left.

I find my eye drawn too much to the eye when it is on top and I lose the abstraction. Trying various flips I saw this one (just one flip horizontal)... where I first saw the baby beluga :w3:
