This started out as a photo using a 15 mm fisheye lens looking up into a bare maple tree illuminated by a pale November sky. I wanted this tree to appear to be moonlit from the upper left, but with a strong gothic feel to it. In PP, I used a vignette tool to mask out some distracting branches that appeared at the edges of the photo. Then HDR Efex Pro to even out some of the tonalities in the tree trunk, then the PS Emboss filter followed by Silver Efex Pro rendered as a tintype.

Keith, One of the best embossed effects I've seen. Very cool use of the fish eye and way cool processing!

Nice feel, and good use of the embosse filter. I like how it seems to start on left as 2D and then transitions into 3D on Rt. Very cool.

I don't usually like the embossed look but it works perfectly here and the tones and colors are wonderful! Very well done!
