This image was taken this past fall on our voyage back to the Midwest. It was shot in a small state wildlife area near Theresa, Wisconsin, where I use to enjoy many days of shooting images of the geese that came there on their migrations.
Modification in CS4 included; Fractalius, Topaz Simplify and other normal PS image adjustments. I overlayed the Fract layer image on the original and added the Simplify layer to get the desired vision.
Enjoy!

Mark,
Very creative and beautiful abstract. Love the richness of the colors. I almost wish that patch of blue sky in the upper left corner wasn't there and instead was a continuation of what appears to be a rock hill behind the trees. In any case, it's well done.

Except for the blue in the ULC, as noted by Richard, I really like this a lot, Mark. The deep red, gold and brown colors of autumn blend very well together and I think you got the tree outlines just right. Beautiful!

Mark, I love this one and I agree w/ toning down the blue just a shade. Very nicely processed and I like the way the trees rendered.:S3:

Beautiful autumn colors, Mark! I like the contrast that the bit of blue up in the corner gives but agree with toning it down just a little. Nice processing, has kind of a stained glass look.

Mark,
Greetings. The color is beautiful. The purples & blues in the bg set the oranges/yellows off nicely along with the texture contrast. Good show!
Cheers,

Thanks all for viewing and comments. Appreciate it.
JFYI the "rock hill" is actually the clouds behind the trees. The effect is due to the steps taken which also gives the patter on the trees.

Just lovely, Mark! It takes me right back to autumn here in KC (which I would desperately love to be in now that we're buried in snow!) I love the blue touches in the corners - they really set off the bold yellow to red palette of the leaves.

Thanks Jules for viewing and comments. Appreciate it. Personally I also like the bit of blue in the BG. Just a tad sometimes adds to the vision. It did to mine! :w3 Understand the views of others, but for me it was just the right amount of contrast for the image.
