I spent the last five days of 2010 at the Salton Sea. We drove through rain all the way to get there. It wasn't raining there, but it was a dark and moody day with lots of huge clouds. When I saw the sun shining through I just had to think "HDR" and here is one of them. Photomatix Pro and PS. Topaz Detail was the final touch.
Beautiful scene, Kerry! I love the clouds and light rays. The HDR effect looks a little heavy for my tastes, but that's just me. I do like the details it brought out in the clouds and water. The distant flying birds add a nice touch.
Kerry, this is a beautiful scene for sure. I don't mind the "grunge" look to this, but I would love to see it without the grunge look also. Nice capture!

Kerry, I like the grunge look for this and I know I would like this a little less processed too. It's one of those images that can go either way. Neat!!
Kerry, this almost looks like a scene from Cecil DeMille's movies! Very nice HDR effect. Great use of the light breaking through the clouds. Nicely done.
Fantastic sky!!! Wow colors. Beautiful light. The effects work great. I might tone down the effects on the water, to keep it from drawing attention from the fabulous sky.
Those God beams are back again! I'm a sucker for the images with those light rays filtering down through the clouds. I also like it as processed but would also love to see a softer version just for the heck of it.

Nice work Kerry! Like the clouds and light rays, nice mood with the blues. Would like to see original as well, and see you take this further with colors and effects.
