This is a photograph of a Pomegranate hung on the side of our Arizona Ash that most birds love.
I created a Colored painting using MS Digital Image Suite 9, and in the same program I used their Art Stroke edges. I then took it into CS5, use Quick Mask to select the fruit leaving a thin red edge around the fruit, when selected I clicked Filters>Filter Note paper and filled in the selection.

Gus, This does have an abstract look to it. I tried to edit your post to add Weekly Theme to your post but was unable to- may be a glitch. Anyway I like the BG pattern and the colors. I might put the subject in the ROT position if it were mine. Neat filtering!

I agree with Denise that this might work better with the pomegranate closer to a ROT position but other than that, this makes a great abstract!

Great abstract, Gus. I like the colors and textures in the bg a lot.:)

Looks great Gus. I just played with the notebook filter myself for the first time - you can get some great texture from that! Love the complimentary colors here and the repost shapes it all up nicely.
