Coots are tough to shoot. While in my kayak this bunch of over 500 allowed me to get twenty feet away and remained there for several hundred frames.

Daniel, I think you did a good job w/ the processing. It looks natural and not over done. I might evict the cut off coot on the right side of the frame if it were mine. It's a little tight in the frame but I absolutely love this. The front four line up is adorable! Nicely done.

Daniel, I love Coots and I agree that they are difficult to shoot! You had a good lighting situation for this one that really shows the body nicely. I love all the sharp eyes you got. A slight crop from the right would work for me too.

Nice work, Daniel. I like the low angle and the HDR effect here. Agree with Denise on evicting the coot on the right frame.

Getting coots to line up in the same direction (except for one) is a pretty neat trick! Very nice low angle shot, a bit tight in the frame, but it works well. Getting rid of the partial coot on the RHS would strengthen the image. Well done, Daniel.

Great line up, Daniel! Love the fine details in the feathers and water. I agree with removing the partial coot. Well done. :)
