I spent most of Sunday afternoon, during a big snowstorm, playing with DAP. It was fascinating to watch it "work" but I need to read some instructions so I understand where I can have some control. I am using the trial version and they paste a banner near the bottom with their name. I tried to clone it out and still match the effect. I will certainly play some more :).

This is gorgeous, Nancy. I love everything about it - the COMP, colors, texture and especially the torn look on canvas of the edges. A superb image!!

Very nice image and application, Nancy.
DAP is fun and very creative if you take a little time to learn a few tricks, which I still am. I find that maximizing the brush sizes, small and large, make my images work. Of course, your image ... you r vision. Don't be afraid of it, you can always go back to the original and redu it and the effects with other PS filters are endless. Sometimes I process the PS first and sometimes I do the DAP and then bring it into PS for adjustments. Different effects both ways.
My personal favorite is the Aquarell technique, which you used here, as you may have noticed in some prior images! :)

I love the warm colors and the effect on this Nancy! I have one problem with the piece though! It's the fact that the flower is angled away from the viewer, and the yellow of the center if the flower is to the right of center frame, leading the eye out the right side of the frame. Kind of like the bad head angle or the bird flying out of the frame idea! My eye is forced to the right edge.
