Happy New Year to all!
To get the year started, I've posted a small contest on my blog.
I'm asking for identification of the bird in the image shown here.
Folks here should stand a better chance of getting this right since most of the people who follow my blog aren't birders.

I sent my guess.
Can I suggest that you include general geographic location? You should probably provide country at a bare minimum, though state / province (assuming North America) would be better. I've seen this point brought up in many advanced birding quizzes, and it seems to be the norm.
That's fair. The photo was taken in the New England / New York area.

Congratulations to Paul Guris of P.A. His name was chosen out of a hat out of the five contest participants who correctly guessed red-bellied woodpecker.
