This one might be a little too out there, but it is a Snow Goose landing at Bosque. This is completely in camera, with only basic adjustments in LR3. The red is the sky, and there is the faint outline of a tree.
It is a little hard to see, but you can make out the birds head in the middle of the blur. I love the red color, and the turbulent feathers.

Patrick, I like it. The colors are awesome and the blur is angelic like. I might tighten up the comp if it were mine. Nicely done.

Beautiful blur composition. The color is just excellent. TFS.

Patrick, I couldn't agree more with Denise. I'd bring in the negative space a bit taking a tiny bit off the bottom and a large chunk off the right side. Colors and blur are fantastic.

Hi Patrick, agree with the above comments. Love the colors and the amount of blur.

Whathca been drinking boy? This one does not work for this old man. The subject is too small in the frame and too blurred to be recognizable. Plus, the goose is red too. I would like it better without the bird as I like the faint trees and the color.
How did you create the color?

Trust me, I would love to have just the crazy looking bird, or the tree, and agree with the cropping suggestions. However, it is too small in the frame, and the image shown above is already over 50% cropped. As for the color, nothing special was done. The only adjustment was to move the black level adjustment all the way to the right, to 100%. Still did not create any black clipping in the image, and it made the cool red color pop out.
I was just posting this to see what the limits of "abstract" are perceived to be.

I love the background and the color of the background. I would like to see the bird a bit more white and either a bit more blurred so just a white ghostly appearance or less blurred and more definable as a bird. I see bird parts, but I can't figure out if they are coming or going. :p
