Hi Folks;
Fresh off the drawing board - Photo taken this morning. Usual free Fotosketcher, CS5 for the stroke, and used for the first time Topaz detail for the B&W.
Comments always welcome & very much appreciated - TIA

Gus, This is very nice. I like the border/frame and the B&W looks good. The textured BG is nice also. I wish the wings were a bit more visible but I imagine they were flapping quite fast!!:)
Gus,
Agree with Denise on the wings..........although I do like B&W, there is something about the exceptional iridescent colors of a humming bird that makes me want to see this in color, or perhaps a slightly desaturated version. I also might position the bird so that the tail is not point to the corner of the frame...........he feels a bit too left in the frame. My preference only:)
Great work, Gus! Excellent pose and I love the BG. I agree with Denise on the wings, but I don't mind it too too much because that's how the wings would look to the naked eye. The tail looks a bit tight in the frame, so I think a little more room on the left and the bottom would be good.
Hi Folks;
Agree with all you kind folks, especially space in corner, as it would mean a complete redo with the B&W, I added space on the original.
Thanks for your educational kind critiques
Gus
Wonderful effects! I'm partial to color, but in this case the B&W works beautifully. Especially like the bg.
I love the b&w but really want more wing presence. Do you have a stronger pair on another of your series? :2eyes2:
Hi Gus, I like both versions - looks like the wings got lost in the conversion as they are more visible in the original.
Ditto what has been said. I love the B&W and the color version is awesome. I do like that the wings are more visible in the color version and the background is beautiful.
