Finally some Mark IV images! A fast flier to track with 840mm; you did well Haim. Sharpness is good, as is the exposure. There is a cyan cast to the whites of the belly, possibly due to blue water beneath the bird. I do wish there was a little more detail in the eye, and I would move the bird slightly to the right in the frame.
Ditto Doug on all counts (cyan cast, eye, and subject placement all easy to fix), and I would add that I would have liked for a better position on the near wing. Good colours on this fella's bill, and I like the bit of light coming through the webbed foot - neat!
Ditto ditto. And yes to the cyan/blue cast (also in the sky). Sharp one of a very fast flying bird. Where in AK?
Thank you all.
I have been in Alaska with Robert Amoruso end of July 2010.
This one is from small birds island not far from Silver Salmon Creek.
Ah, Duck Island. From the boat or on land?
YAW. It can be a great spot. We did really well one day by taking the boat behind the island in the early afternoon.
