I took this last fall and just tried a b&w conversion. I'm not sure about the comp, but it was a great subject for black and white conversion. Looking for feedback on the conversion.....................

Hi Jay, I think the b&w works great here. I could think of adding a bit more contrast. Compositionally, I like the slanted field although would have loved to see more of the field and sky. TFS.
I like it, though I think it's a mite bright.
What do you think of this?

Jay, I think the conversion is pretty good but it seems to be both dark and bright to me. What is making it difficult for you in this image is the tall grass in the lower right corner. It is very bright. I agree with Indranil, in this case it would have been better to point the camera up to put the barn in the lower part of the frame and eliminate that hot spot.
Thanks folks, good feedback on this one.............I think I overachieved a bit on the conversion. I do have a bit more canvass so maybe that will help. I think this may be a do-over...........
I agree with the others, Jay...but want to add two things. I'd open up the shadows in the barn if you can while toning down the white/bright grass in front of it to even that side out a bit more. Also, feels like it needs just a tiny bit of CW rotation to me.
Overall, I love the scene - just needs a few tweaks to it.
