Classic nuthatch pose, like the exposed talon. Well exposed, although the whites might go just a sliver brighter as they look a bit grey.
I might have been tempted to use a larger f/stop, to further throw the background out of focus.
You could play with the saturation of the reds a little bit to see if you could reduce its impact a bit but still keep the overall feeling of fall.

I'm normally fighting the whites so this is a first for me by increasing them. This Nuthatch seemed to have a dirty cheek and maybe why it seems duller than the brow...I didn't do anything to the whites during my RAW conversion. I also reduced the red saturation by -10.

Nice pose and shot I feel that the reds are a bit overpowering and agree with Randy on playing around with them to possibly reduce them a bit...

Great pose! I agree with the reds, they ought to be complimentary not dominant. But I like the idea and some minor tweaks should improve this lovely image. :)
