I like the wren like pose in this image. It was taken in my backyard at a set-up. The BG is an OOF maple tree trunk. All C&Cs are appreciated.

Hi Jim,
I like the idea, with the pose and the isolated smooth bg. I feel a little of the bottom might help- even a horizontal crop with canvas added on the right, and less of the plant below the bird. Toning down the whites on the bird's cheek might be a good idea. The oof tail doesn't bother me, and the details on the head and the plant are good. Nice head angle too.
I know how hard chickadees are to shoot well, because of the tonal contrast and the fact that they never seem to keep still!

I like your comp Jim, and well placed in the frame. Good exposure on the bird, sharp, and stands out nicely against the BG. Its always good to have a set up, you can shoot endless opportunities, and always know that tomorrow will offer you another set of different images.
I like the wren pose too, as well as the perch, BG, and comp. You could tone down the white cheek, but not much is needed. Well done!
Excellent shot I agree regards toning down the cheek a little. The pose and the perch are a good idea, I will shamelessly copy the idea!! I would also consider adding canvas to the right.
Absolutely top-notch Jim. Love the setting lots. Great pose, exposure and the soft lighting works superbly here. :) TFS
