I went out to the coast yesterday morning looking to add Brandt's and Pelagic Cormorants to my library. I found this guy perching on a rock at the edge of the bay. Later on I got the Brandt's as well :D

Brandt's are much easier in San Diego than these little guys. You did your very best with EXP and COMP with a scraggly bird in flat light. Head angle perfect as well and as expected :)

Comp and detail is perfect to my eyes and I like the rather dull light on this subject, well done.:)

Aidan, The pose and the comp are wonderful. Nice job w/ the exposure and details. The light does seem a bit flat as noted but you did great getting the color detail out of the plumage.

Hey Aidan, interesting colours on the plumage, and I like the pose. Good two tone BG, and if this were mine, I would maybe just tone it down a tad.

Great work Aidan. My question is that had you have had better light would the eye have been that wonderful green color? Thanks mate. . . .
