I had fun photographing the last Dahlia of the season, and it was a beauty.
Photographed indoors with Sigma 105mm macro, natural light, f16, 1/5 sec., ISO 160.
PP: levels, contrast, shadow/light.
I added two of my yellow textures.

Awesome perspective and I remember what a beauty this one was. I love Dahlias but this crop is super!! I feel nitpicky saying this but I might clean up that tiny triangle the URC if it were mine. Lovely work Anita!!!

Thanks. Not sure what you mean by corner to corner. Do you mean having the petals start in one corner, say LLC and go to another, such as URC?Quote:

ps: It is possible that you could do the same after by cropping especially if you have some extra all around. If not, you would like lose a bunch of pixels.
Anita, I like the yellow-orange-green colors and the soft feel. A very small crop from the right would banish that little triangle that Denise is referring to. I think Artie has a good point about the comp, it would be interesting to see a capture like that or rotation of the image if you have the canvas.
Thank you Denise and Kerry for pointing out the little triangle in URC. I hadn't noticed it.
I now understand about the suggested rotation. I may or may not try it. The image as presented was my vision.
