I took this image in Yellowstone. I do have some where the FG elements are more clear but I also liked the way this one had an entire soft dreamy look to it caused by the smoke.

I really like everything about that shot Denise. Well done.

A beautiful scene, I like the color gradations, the only thing I might consider is removing the dark trees in the RLC...they seem to draw my eye away from the main part of the image.
I agree, it's a beautiful scene. I wouldn't mind calling it my own! The dark trees in the corner don't bother me, I like them.
Nice image and application, Denise.
My first thought was to crop the top slightly. But then again ... as the saying goes! ;) :D
Beautiful image, Denise. I like the soft misty look that the smoke gives. I'm not sure about the dark trees in the LRC. I can see why it might look better without them, but I don't mind them that much.
Hi Denise, if it were mine I wouldn't change a thing. Love it the way it is. I find images like this that show the "layers" of the hills/mountains to be most appealing.
Lovely composition! I like the layers and repeating patterns. I wish the right side were not quite so light as my eye keeps getting drawn there. What did this look like in color?
Thank you all for the kind comments.
Anita, It looked pretty much the same.:)
This reminds me of SMNP in Tennessee...I'm a big sap for scenes like this and I really like the composition of this image
Denise, I really like this a lot. I like the darker trees in the LRC and the first hill with darker trees also. They seem to fit the image as it goes from dark to light the higher you go. It does look like the Smokies:)
I like the trees so much that I would have pointed the lens down a bit....
Thanks folks, I appreciate all the comments. I hope to make it to the Smokies!!!
