Here is another attempt for the weekly theme. This is a twist on the Wanted Dead or Alive poster. It's already too late for this outlaw! I notice that some photos extend beyond what I see on my screen at first and that I need to use the bottom scroll bar to view the extreme right side. Are others have this problem?
C & C most welcome.

I really like your image, especially the shadow of the gunman. Don't get mad if I steal the idea! I have a cool wanted poster texture if I can find a good photo to go in it!

Nancy, The gun, the shadow the text all come together nicely. This does look really old. I might try to get a bit more(not much) detail in the head of the dead guy if it were mine. Nice job! What size is your monitor?

Nicely done Nancy. Too late for the bad guy, but not for the shadow guy who is going to collect the reward. I would suggest toning down the text a bit so it matches the apparent age of the rest of the image. Could use a levels adjust to bring the black level up and maybe apply a texture. Good show!

Kerry, I too was bothered by the newness of the text and tried to tone it down. It quickly became lost in the background. Adding textures, changing opacity, piling on layers, and so on is new to me and I get lost in the adjustments. I'm open to someone trying it. I would love to see how it is done.
Denise, my screen is 19 in.

Nancy, is the text on a separate layer? If so, you could try applying some of the same textures and adjustments as the bg layer.

Excellent work, Nancy! A real old west image if I ever saw one! :) The shadow of the gunman adds the perfect touch. I agree with Denise on adding a little more detail on the dead guy's head. I might also add just a touch more contrast to the dead guy to make him stand out a little more, but I'm not sure.
I think Kerry has a good suggestion on adding textures to the text. If you're having trouble with the text getting lost in the BG, you might try lightening the area behind the text just a little bit.

Very creative! I agree that the text needs to be aged as well. The size of your monitor has nothing to do with needing to scroll, it is the resolution. If you have it set to 1024x728 or smaller you will have to scroll an image with the max width here at BPN (1024 pixels). regards~Bill

Bill, On my laptop I have to scroll, where do you set the resolutions?? Will it be too small to see the image quality if you are on a 15 inch screen?

Denise: laptops have a so called native resolution, and it may not be possible to increase it more than 1024x 768. I was thinking desktop, though the native resolution for the laptop I'm using at this moment is 1600x900. In any case it is set with the control panel/appearance and personalization/ adj screen resolution in Win 7, and similar in previous versions; control panel/display. When purchasing a laptop native screen resolution is something to consider. regards~Bill

Here is a repost with a little more contrast on the dead cowboy's hat and a scattered tone-down of the text. Also thanks for info on resolution. I will check.

Nancy, this is a wondeful old-time photo. Agree that the text needs to be aged also. I wonder if maybe an "old" font could be used too. Well done!
