Denise, this is super! It took me a few seconds to "grok" what I was looking at and the image just unfolded in my head. This is a very good example of using minimal elements and letting the viewer complete the scene. I love how the eye is lost in the ripples of the refection. I would probably lighten just the tiny highlight in the eye a tad. Beautiful work.
At first glance I thought, what swan, looks like feet. Then, I saw it! Great textures between the ripples and the smooth water around. Caught the eye in just the right place.
That's an amazing capture, perfect timing and OOTB! It took me a minute to figure it out also. I love the position of the eye and the reflections.
Really cool perspective. I like the eye.
Cleverly cropped Denise. Im wondering how it would look with more neck visible on top.
Thank you all for the feedback. Stuart, here is a repost w/ more neck~
Very cool framing, Denise! I love the symmetrical view and the ripples. I might tone down the swan's neck just a tad. Very beautiful work.
Denise, wonderful capture! I prefer the re-post with the head entering the water in the center of the frame. I can spend hours shooting Trumpeters. They are beautiful birds.
Great repost Denise. I prefer it. ;)
Thanks All!!!
Excellent composition, Denise. I like how you cropped the image. Beautiful reflection.
btw, congratulation for your Mute Swan POTD.
Thank you Indranil, It was an honor to have been selected.
