I photographed this male Mallard from a hillside above the pond where he was swimming, so that the material in the water was entirely a reflection of the trees above. I changed most of the greens in the water to red to produce a more dramatic and Fall-like effect, and removed a few twigs.

Hi Richard, nice transformation of the colors and ripples in the water. I think I would have liked to see the duck either higher or lower in the frame. Is that a falcon you are holding in your avatar pic?

I like the change to reds. Agree about the mallard's being in a different place. I'd crop a bit from the bottom and left. don't want to mess with that lovely swirl in the water above the mallard.

Ricahrd, I might crop a bit tighter and give it a rotation. You did a great job w/ the color transformation.

Thanks for the comments. Kerry - My avatar shows me in the kitchen holding my dog's head - gazing adoringly upwards!

Richard, I really like the color transformation. I'd like to see a crop from the bottom also. (Your dog looks like a sweetie:))

Beautiful fall colors, Richard. Very striking. Personally I think I would crop some off the top and left.
