I did this way back around 2002 - 3 before I had an SLR with Virtual Painter plugin and always liked it as an over-the-top artistic effect. I know it has faults like not enough room at the top but I no longer have the VP plugin installed and probably not the base image either so no re-do is possible. I liked the plugin when it worked on an image but it didn't work on most images.

Judy, it looks like a Picasso drawing. (In color). I like it!

I like this a lot, Judy. Has an oriental flavor for me. The colors and framing are super!

Very nice Judy! It is definitely a different look and too bad it is not reproducible, but that makes it even more special. You can get a similar look with the Topaz Clean "cartooned" preset. I like the way you extended the image into the "frame", which has a nice burlap look to it.

I like the simple raw primary color feel which is emphasized by the lack of detail. Autumn colors can be flamboyant and this expresses that! The frame is terrific.

Judy, A fun image for sure and I really like the way you chose to frame this using the canvas texture-nice work!

Thanks Kerry, Nancy and Denise! I'll try to install the plugin in the 32 bit version of CS5 and play with it again. I had several images that I liked from it so it might be fun to try it again.
