Here I created a soft sharp overlay blur but it lacked punch. So I used Denise's Color Efex fave, Tonal Contrast and liked it a bit more. From Grand Teton with the 70-200.

Nice effect Arthur. Tonal Contrast is pretty amazing. Even at slight adjustments I find it makes a big difference, particularly for landscapes.
Nice colors and blur Artie. Nik Color Efex has some great filters and this one worked well. Looks like the light is coming from inside the tree.
Thanks Guys. Kerry, the tree was strongly backlit and the BKGR was in shadow. That's what attracted me in the first place :)

Artie, very nice warm, Fall colors and blur effect. Favorite part is the gradient/tonal shift of yellow/orange/red from left to right.
