Beware of Trolls on Halloween!

This is the Troll Under the Bridge public art sculpture in the Aurora neighborhood of Seattle. It is made of concrete, rebar and wire. The vehicle is a "real" VW Beetle and he's holding it like he snatched it off the bridge. Pixel Bender, Topaz Adjust and 2 textures.

I love everything about this. Looks like my high school math teacher, Granny Graesser (Brooklyn Technical HS circa 1968). The upper third looks as if it could go a bit lighter. Love the effects that you chose.

Thanks Artie! Poor Granny if she looked like that! <g> I could have lightened it but he is under the bridge and I think it adds to the spooky effect and overall mood of the image.

Judy, She actually looked a bit worse. I would argue to the death :) for more light on the face as it is the subject so we will need to agree to disagree on that.

Judy, Very neat! I love sculptures like this and the PB really adds to the look. I think that the face could go a tiny bit lighter but I do like the upper BG a bit darker -I think it does add to the mood as you said.

I took Artie's and Denise's suggesting and here's a repost. I painted on a levels adjustment. I think it does look better as long as I didn't lighten the bridge so that still adds to the mood. ;):cheers:

This is great Judy and the repost nailed it! I do have to disagree with Artie though. This is clearly my sixth-grade teacher Mrs. Gates. I always pitied poor Mr. Gates... She could snap her fingers so loud that it put the fear of Lucifer into us. Everyone studied really hard to avoid seeing her again next year so I guess she was on to something. :cool: She did tell us once that she had personally seen dinosaurs. :confused:
