Canon 7D Canon 500mm f4 L IS Tripod ISO 400 -0.67 1/1000 sec f7.1
Another shot from the back garden all C&C welcome. I would like to have given a bit more space on the right but I was a little short on ingenuity!

Jonathan, I prefer the coloration here to your previous Coal Tit post ... might loose a bit from the left hand side!?

beautiful details with a great perch...agree with you for more space to the right!
great perch and shot
Jonathan, love the sharpness, color of berries and bird, background. Very well done, agree about room on right. This is a lovely image
If the bird was only facing the other way... you said you wanted to practice...;)
Killer berries, bird and head angle perfect. The mid-tones could go a bit lighter. And you could use some more ingenuity as the bird is too centered :) Here's a tip. When you see an image like this on the LCD, simply point the camera to the right to create source material for a stitched pano. The bird does NOT need to be in the frame....
Well done Jonathan, still impressive as presented so no worries about that one! Other folks above have made some good suggestions. :)
superb capture of this bird. The berry perch is very cool :)
Good suggestions by Artie :)
Interesting advice from Artie! The crop is a real problem. I love the species, I love the sharpness, I love the berries.
I agree that it would have been nice the bird was facing the other way or doing what Arthur suggested (great advice) but as is I like the natural setting and detail in the feathers.
Have you considered the square frame Jonathan?
Good suggestion by Artie. When can I come to your garden? :)
Thanks very much to everyone for the C&C, I will bare your suggestion in mind for the future Artie - thanks - I wish I had thought of that myself!!
YAW. It does take time to learn to think digitally in the field. I am getting better at it. Just this morning I created a two frames for a stitched pano of a sun bathing Turkey Vulture that I could not fit into the frame with my 800.
