Very nice work Jim, I love the pose and detail. Sweet light and sky. They are a fierce hunter for such a small bird!
beautiful light. as you say, dynamic pose, well caught
Love the light and the pose from the Kestrel...especially the fanned out tail. Some may say the lack of eye contact isn't ideal but I feel it works with this image knowing what it was doing at the time....hunting.
Gorgeous light in a great hunting pose, like this a lot James.

Jim, nicely done to catch this pose, and I think you composed very well for the direction he's looking.
Cheers,

Beautiful. I like the wing position, the spread tail, & especially the kestrel's intent look.
Like the tilt of the head and the wings. Like the way the tail feathers are fanned out as well.
Good hovering posture Jim, and I like the light and colours. Overall, good detail captured throughout.
Awesome hovering pose, and sweet light. I wish for a glimmer in the eye (catchlight or reflection), but all else looks great. A vertical with more room below would also work.
James, Another top notch shot. Beautiful details and soft colored BG. Well done.
Perfect pose with super detail. We also call these birds Windhover. :) Cheers mate....
Soft, soft light. I wish only for the wings more fully spread and a better view of the face. Still stunning.
superb image Jim :) Nothing more to say :)
Amazing job with 600 and 1.4x . Excellent.
