Just thought of trying something else to break the redundancy of a typical lion/ess picture, and hence the result.
I shot this lioness not 5 ft away from my car at Skukuza camp area in Kruger National Park this past January. She was accompanied by 6 juveniles and were crossing the bridge over the Sabie river.
Comments welcome!

Shreyas, I love the amber colored eyes! beautiful stare and pose. I think that you really took a fresh approach to this and it works very nicely. I might tone down the bright spots in th LRC if it were mine. I like this a lot TFS.:)

Shreyas, big warm welcome to OOTB! Wonderful shot of the proud lady and I love your treatment. I've always enjoyed this style of B&W with just one element in color. If you had a tiny bit more detail to give in the eyes I think it would make this image even stronger. I might tone down the white areas in the lower right corner. Looking forward to seeing more of your work!

This is a strong, creative image as it stands. Nice clean job of have color where you want it and not where you don't.
I'm looking at this and thinking how "kick butt" would this image be if the cat was looking straight into the camera!!!
Thanks for posting this example of OOTB creativity.

Really is a killer idea, agree with above, about bright spots and head angle, but its a keeper image for sure...TFS
