This bird was a recent arrival about 3 weeks ago, and one of the first times with using the 7D
Canon 7D, 300f4+1.4tc, ISO640, f16(accidently bumped this up from f7.1), 1/640, manual mode.

Lovely pose on the bird and I like the ever so slightly raised left foot....just enough so that you can see it even though it is behind the crest of the rock.
I would do some blur to the BG along with NR and I would likely clone out the little white spots on the rock.
Mark, good low angle of capture, and I like the pose and HA. Stands out nicely against the sea BG. Peter's repost looks good.
Thanks everyone for commenting and viewing.
Thanks for the repost Peter, the changes look nice.
Beautiful bird and photo. I really like what Peter did with it in the re-post.
A bit more TLC Mark as Peter did it. Nice pose and you got amazingly close to this flighty bird!
Jim, the little white things are mollusks called periwinkles and are part of the habitat typical of the Sydney sandstone coastline. My 2c worth anyway.
Thanks for the comments guys.
Akos, will I see you at the reef tomorrow morning then? ;)
Mmmm. No sorry. :( I have to help my wife with her uni work. Exams coming up and she needs someone to transcribe lectures! :( Gotta do it for that 600/4 MkII soon!
