I commented on Denise's abstract thread the other day commenting it just needed something. I bugged me, I worked on it, something I really dislike...:2eyes2:...sure who am I kldding I love it.
This is just a workflow showing how I made the changes, nothing is written in stone
1.Clone or brush mountain area to remove everything below the white outline of the peaks, making everything dark black 2.Clone everything above the peaks the whitest white possible from pallet. 3.What your left with is a black silhouette – on white of the peaks…. 4.Mask the sky … then in Select, Modify, Contract…I used a setting of two 5.Select, Inverse… which captures the black peaks and 2 pixels of the white. 6.Go to Filters, Blur, Motion blur…adjust the angle (round wheel) to whatever suits you, and use the slider to adjust how much blur of the white you want. 7.Again mask the sky, Select, Inverse and Copy 8.Paste it onto any suitable background…flatten image, crop to suit 9.Then I used a brush to paint in the outline of the peaks so they stand out 10. Design a frame Above is just an outline…remember I save almost every step, so you don’t have to restart at the beginning. They’re easy to get rid of when your done..Hope its understandable

I liked the original but agree with others that it needed something. This treatment really sets it off well. Nice job Paul!

Paul, thanks for sharing your workflow! I will add it to the sticky. Denise, can you add the original to this post so the outline can be followed?
