It doesn't get much sweeter than this. Lovely complimentary perch. Fantastic details on a very lovely bird.
I would advise you to take up landscape photography :)
Aside from the usual technical and artistic perfection the matching colors of the bird and the berries are absolutely special.

Perhaps Alan was aware of the match when preparing for the shot in the field, but even if he wasn't aware, he probably noticed the match when reviewing the shots later. Just as it's commendable to see opportunities in the field, it's also commendable to see them during post-processing.
