Taken today while checking up for the arrival of Steppe Eagle at cattle farm. The place is really good to grab some Steppe Eagle, Tawny Eagle, Greater Spotted Eagle, White Backed Vulture, Kites, Ibises and many other scavangers. Yet to get the vultures and eagle for this season as the place was empty and i got back with this kite shot.
Taken with 1D Mark IV, 500 F/4

Sweet EXP, SH, and feather detail. A bit more head turn towards you would have improved it. As would a linear burn on the light parts of the bill. The two large whitish areas are distracting but they could be easily dealt with with some 60% Clone Stamp Tool work.

Sharp detailed portrait Mital! There is a small speck or reflection on the LLC of the pupil that I would remove.

Agree about the omission of the tiny, lower catchlight. Might consider cropping a slice off the left and top too (5%). So much detail and the colours are fantastic. We have these wide ranging birds in Australia but I can only dream of getting this close to one:D
Well done Mital:cool:
