Living 600km's from the coast I dont visit too often. Took this about 3 weeks ago on Kwazulu south coast. These guys are super shy, any movement and they gone, so I had to lie down and wait for him to pop up again :)
300 f4 + 1.4tc , exp. 1/2500. Changed vibrance and sat a bit and added effect with Topaz clean. Thanks for looking.
Johan, it looks like you both were lying down:) I like the effect Topaz created on the sand. I think I'd prefer a slice taken off the bottom - I like the oof in the top but not so much on the bottom.

Excellent composition, Johan. Great natural subject and I like how you used low shooting angle. Topaz did bring out nice patterns on the sand and is well balanced with that of the crab. Agree with Cheryl on taking a bit off the bottom. TFS.

Johan, Really neat image. I like the processing and the capture! I might evict the dk spot on the right edge(extremely minor). The color, texture and eyes are fantastic! Nicely done.

Johan, I love this moment - the way the eyes are on a different angle from the body tells me that it will be gone again soon! See ya! I agree with the thought about cropping some of the OOF beach from the bottom. I would probably clone out the dark spot that Denise mentioned as well as the other dark spots in the left of the image. The eye is drawn to detail and it's best to keep that all on the subject. If it were mine, I would lighten the eyes up just a bit to bring more attention to them. Don't you love that Clean filter?

Some things work with frac effect and some don't...this definately does, the effect on the sand, the colors and comp make this a keeper..Well done

Hi Johan, Love the peek-a-boo crab! Very nice capture! Love the composition, texture, and frac effect. I agree with the suggestions already made.

Thanks for comments and advice from everyone. Kerry I am still getting used to this whole post processing thing :) When I figure out how you change exposure on only pieces (like the eyes) I would try it out :) Yeah I agree on Topaz, very nice tools... maybe coz they idiot proof (even I can use it)
Have a great evening all.
