Image stabilization using monopod ?

EF 300mm f4 IS. Should I use IS when mounted on a monopod ? Joe

Yes, there will be movement that the IS will stabilize. If you were on a tripod with everything locked down IS would probably be detrimental to image quality. If You do not fully lock down when on the tripod keep IS on.
