This one was taken last year, by a small lake not far from my house. Theese rails are very shy so I had to wait a long time untill he deared to come out. Lucky for me they stayed there all winter so I spent alot of time photographing theme, I hope they get back this winter. :D
All comments welcome.
The rail looks very good and catching the water drop is a bonus. I can't really figure out the water though, the water appears to have a hole in it where the ripples form. I imagine it is some selective saturation, but that's a guess at best. You might try to equal out the water color. I honestly can't figure out if the eye in the water is a reflection or something is in the water under the bird as the color appears different from the bird. So, since I focus a lot in determining what's going on in the water, I would say that's a distraction that takes away from the bird.
I would really like to hear what you were aiming for with the water.

Hey Fred thanks for your comment . I haven't done any ps with the water, actully the only ps I done to this is image is sharpening the face of the bird and bring down som whites from in the face. The "hole" is from a drop that fell befor the one falling now. Also the water there is in the shadow so you can see right through it. I can't see any eye reflection?

Thanks Ivan for explaining the water, sometimes it helps just know more about the shot. I would direct you to what I see in the water, but the site seems to be having problems handling external images as I can't see the full sized image. If the problem gets sorted out I'll take another look.
