There are many old mines in the Creede, CO area. Use 4 wheel drive, and the trail it is slick when wet.

I like your composition, Bill. Is this an HDR image? Tone mapped? Can you tell us a bit about the PP?
I'm going to wait to comment until I also hear about the pp as I'm not sure what you've done here.
No HDR in this one. Just normal raw processing and a curves adjust in PS. Corrected horizen line in ACR
Bill, can I get you to post an unedited image of this? Something about this looks off and I can't tell if it's oversharpened or the server did something funky to it when you uploaded it. I'd like to compare it to the first post.
Here is the unprocessed version except for size adjust and converstion to JPEG. No sharpening. No curves adjustment
I prefer color and contrast of the unedited image. Your PP really flattened out the image and gave it an artificial feel. Try going for a more subtle levels adjustment. Straighted and cropped like your original upload and I think it would be great.
May be a B/W version? this is a nice image as is and the place is too. Give it a try in B/W, you might discover that this is a perfect image for that matter.
Juan I think you have a point. I do prefer b and w. Will give it a try.
