What do you do to maintain your lenses? Do you send them in to be cleaned, tuned up etc.?

Keep the lens cap on when not in use. Use the case or a bag when not mounted on the camera. Try to avoid exposing to unusually harsh vibrations. Clean the front and back elements only as needed, avoiding harsh cleaners and abrasive tissue or cloth. Otherwise, enjoy.
